Lets make this Baby Stick!

Now since I've had 2 miscarriages I knew I wanted my lips to remained sealed for as long as possible so we decided to tell NO ONE! I anxiously went to work and sought out a doctor who would see me ASAP to do blood work despite not being a patient yet. That's when I found my current doc and feel in love. She is great!

She basically agreed to bring me in to do blood work to test my thyroid, progesterone and hcg levels and thankfully they made the appointment on Monday and then 48 hours later I would go back for another round of blood work to make sure the pregnancy hormones were rising nicely. They should at least double in 48 hours.

The first round of blood work came back good. My progesterone was good but she decided to keep me on it until 12 weeks since I have low progesterone when not pregnant. The levels were good I was definitely pregnant. So I started feeling calmer however on the day I was going in for the second round of blood work I bleed and I freaked out at work and had a complete melt down in my office. Thank god for an office that day!

My blood work appointment was at the end of the day so I wasn't sure how soon I would get the results that following day. I just kept praying the results were good and at this point the bleeding had stopped so I tried to stay optimistic but if any of you have had a miscarriage you know how hard it is to ever get "excited or to think positively" about a pregnancy. I tried to hold out on calling the doctors office but finally I caved and called. The nurse was nice enough to let me know the results had nicely more then doubled and she talked to the doc who said she was confident every was going well and would bring me in at 10 weeks (right after Thanksgiving) for an ultrasound and my first prenatal appointment.

Only problem with that is we had to keep our lips sealed from the Inlaws and Step Daughter while visiting for Turkey Day. That should be interesting!
